Our Mission
The Network unites early childhood educators, providers, families, and partners across Forsyth County to strengthen the quality, accessibility, and sustainability of early care and education for every child.
We Envision...
An equitable early childhood system where every child in Forsyth County is seen, supported, and set up to succeed.
Our Story
Every day across Forsyth County, early childhood providers open their doors before sunrise, welcome children with open arms, comfort anxious parents, celebrate milestones, solve problems, and help lay the foundation for lifelong learning.

They see firsthand the joys, challenges, and realities of caring for young children and supporting the families who depend on them.

Yet for too long, many of these providers carried those experiences in isolation.

Out of a shared belief that the people closest to the work should have a voice in shaping its future, the Forsyth Early Childhood Community Network, Inc. was born.

Officially incorporated on April 26, 2026, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the Network emerged as a grassroots, provider-led nonprofit membership organization made up of early childhood providers, teachers, educators, and childcare leaders serving children and families throughout Forsyth County.

Built by Providers. Guided by Purpose.

From the beginning, the vision was bigger than simply creating another organization. The Network was established to strengthen the collective voice of early childhood professionals and to create a place where providers could advocate, collaborate, and lead together.
Â
The organization was built to support:

-
stronger provider voice and representation,
-
meaningful advocacy efforts,
-
increased civic engagement,
-
peer support and relationship building,
-
leadership development opportunities, and
-
collective action that strengthens the entire local early childhood ecosystem.

What makes the Network unique is that it is guided by the very people doing the work every day. Its direction is shaped by its own officers, governed by its bylaws, and informed by member-defined priorities because those caring for children and operating childcare programs are closest to the daily realities facing children, families, educators, and childcare businesses.

The Network believes that when providers are empowered, connected, and heard, children, families, and communities all benefit.

Today, the organization continues to focus its efforts on five key priorities:
